Perianesthesia Training Opportunities for Nurses at The Miriam Hospital
Perioperative Nurse Internship Program
The Perioperative Nurse Internship Program is a six-month program focused on providing training and education to registered nurses who are currently employed in non-operating room nursing positions. The program is strongly recommended for RNs who have not worked in the operating room for five years or more.
This internship program is designed to provide nurses with fundamental skills that are critical for providing patient care in the operating room. The didactic portion consists of on-line education, in combination with being paired with a preceptor who will apply skills with various specialties.
