Lifespan has changed its name to Brown University Health to reflect the enhanced relationship with our academic medical partner, and to enhance our ability to attract top doctors, expand research and training programs, and provide excellent patient care. This change will help keep high-quality specialty care and good jobs in Rhode Island.
No, your access to doctors and services stays the same. The MyLifespan patient portal is now called MyChart, but you still have easy access to your medical information and care. You do not have to do anything different to log in or review or your information.
Yes! We are gradually updating signage and materials across our many locations, so you’ll still see Lifespan signs for a while. Have no fear; you’re in the right place, and keep your eyes peeled for new signs next year.
They will be called Brown Health Medical Group, followed by the area of specialty. For example, Brown University Health Physician Group Obstetrics and Gynecology will become Brown Health Medical Group Obstetrics and Gynecology.
Coastal Medical will now be called Brown Health Medical Group Primary Care.
