Ultrasound is a form of medical imaging that uses sound waves to see inside a woman’s body. There is no exposure to radiation with an ultrasound exam. Ultrasound is a good way to evaluate a growing fetus as well as visualize pelvic organs like the uterus and ovaries.
We offer ultrasound services during all of our business hours. We are able to perform an ultrasound on the same day if a woman calls with a concern such as bleeding in early pregnancy.

Maternal Fetal Medicine
The Maternal Fetal Medicine program at the Women’s Medicine Collaborative provides specialized care for women with high-risk pregnancies. Our team of physicians, nurses, genetic counselors, behavioral medicine specialists, registered dietitians, ultrasound technologists and more, provide high-risk pregnancy care for women whose pregnancies require more frequent monitoring, medications, or treatments.
Our ultrasound units are equipped with state-of-the-art, 3D and 4D technology. Like regular ultrasounds, 3D and 4D ultrasounds use sound waves to create an image of your baby in the womb. 3D ultrasounds create a three-dimensional image of your baby, allowing a more realistic imaging of your baby’s position and features. 4D ultrasounds create a live video effect, so you can watch your baby in motion, such as smiling or yawning.
