Adult and Pediatric Critical Care Transport Coordination

Rhode Island Hospital and its Hasbro Children's have two critical care transport teams: an adult team and a pediatric team. These highly skilled teams provide intensive care treatment during the transport of patients.

Our adult critical care transport team includes:

• Emergency medicine attending physicians
• Senior emergency medicine residents
• Critical care paramedics

Our pediatric critical care transport team includes:

• Pediatric emergency medicine attending physicians
• Pediatric intensive care attending physicians
• Senior pediatric residents
• Pediatric intensive care nurses and respiratory therapists
• Critical care paramedics

Complex Patient Transfers

ExpressCare provides a 24-hour, seven-day-a-week access to an experienced team of registered nurse coordinators who arrange for the transfer of patients to Rhode Island Hospital, its Hasbro Children's, The Miriam Hospital and from other hospitals throughout the region.

Our experienced team of registered nurse coordinators manages every transfer, and our adult and pediatric critical care transport teams provide the safest, most efficient transfer of your patient in our state-of-the-art ambulance.

Our two critical transport teams-an adult team and a pediatric team-are highly skilled to provide intensive care treatment during the transport of patients in state-of-the-art ambulances. Each ambulance is equipped with a transport ventilator, a medication refrigerator, a fluid warmer, multiple IV medication pumps and support for high-fidelity manikin training.
