Child & Family Outpatient Services

Outpatient services, under the direction of Karyn Horowitz, MD, offers mental health evaluation and treatment for children, adolescents and families from southern New England. A staff of licensed independent practitioners provide treatment including individual and family therapy in a Gateway Healthcare in-office setting. There is also psychopharmacologic management by a board-certified child and adolescent psychiatrist as well as advanced practice nurses.

Our services include:

• Family therapy
• Individual therapy
• Medication management

Conditions We Treat

The extent of treatment depends on the client's needs. For example, in some instances, treatment may be coordinated with schools or community-based organizations. Also, if determined through the course of a client's treatment, referrals are provided for further evaluation and treatment, such as neuropsychological evaluation and occupational therapy.

We provide treatment for a wide range of common childhood psychiatric conditions, such as:
