An active clinical trials site, the institute is committed to providing patients with the latest protocols. The Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and the Brown University Health Cancer Institute have created a strategic alliance to advance cancer treatment and research.
COBRE Center for Cancer Research Development
In addition, the COBRE Center for Cancer Research Development is the only hospital-based center for cancer research in Rhode Island that is funded by the National Institutes of Health. Science research conducted at this center is used to design and implement novel diagnostic and treatment protocols benefiting patients at the Brown University Health Cancer Institute and in the community at large.

Our Brown University Health Cancer Institute physicians also actively participate in the Brown University Oncology Group (BrUOG), a unique regional clinical trials network that provides highly innovative approaches to cancer care.
