Victoria Sanborn, PhD

Neuropsychologist

Victoria Sanborn, PhD, is a neuropsychologist with Brown University Health. Her areas of expertise are in cognitive assessment, aging, and neurodegenerative diseases.

Prior to joining the neuropsychology team, Dr. Sanborn was a postdoctoral research associate at Rhode Island Hospital as she completed The Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University postdoctoral clinical neuropsychology specialty program. She pursued her clinical psychology internship, specializing in neuropsychology, at the Veterans Affairs Boston Healthcare System in Jamaica Plain, Massachusetts where she held courtesy titles of psychiatry clinical fellow and psychiatry teaching fellow at Harvard Medical School and Boston University School of Medicine. She earned her doctoral degree in neuropsychology from Kent State University, Ohio.

Dr. Sanborn’s research interests include novel approaches for early diagnosis and prevention of Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias, and the impact of lifestyle factors, including the integrity of the gut microbiome on the brain.

She has presented at numerous research conferences and collaborated on medical research published in several academic journals. She is a member of The International Neuropsychological Society and the National Academy of Neurology.
