“Find a Doctor” is operated by Brown University Health and includes all physicians who are on the medical staffs of Brown University Health-affiliated hospitals, without any charge to them. Selection is based upon your needs and preferences. Search results will first present, in alphabetical order, physicians employed or contracted with Brown University Health or its affiliates, followed by an alphabetical listing of physicians who are in Brown University Health’s network of affiliated providers. At the end of that initial list, you can access an alphabetical listing of community physicians with privileges at Brown University Health hospitals. All physicians in Find a Doctor have the opportunity to have a picture or video posted on the site. Neither the order of physicians, nor the presence or absence of a photo or video, in Find a Doctor is intended to reflect any preference, priority, or recommendation by Brown University Health. Find a Doctor search results are also not based on the volume or value of referrals to Brown University Health or its affiliates from any listed physician. Users are free to select their physician of choice from among all Brown University Health-affiliated medical staff physicians.

Tomo Tarui, MD
Tomo Tarui, MD, is a pediatric neurologist at Hasbro Children’s. He specializes in fetal-neonatal neurology and neurogenetics, and is a researcher of developmental neuroimaging and genomics.
Dr. Tarui received his medical degree from Keio University, School of Medicine in Tokyo, and also completed a Program in Clinical Effectiveness from Harvard School of Public Health. Dr. Tarui completed a residency in pediatrics at Keio University Hospital in Tokyo, and an additional residency in pediatrics at the Maimonides Children's Hospital of the Mount Sinai School of Medicine in Brooklyn. Dr. Tarui completed a fellowship in pediatric neurology at Boston Children’s Hospital, where he also completed a fellowship in fetal-neonatal neurology.
Dr. Tarui previously served as an assistant professor of pediatrics and neurology at Tufts University School of Medicine, and director of the Fetal-Neonatal Neurology Program and co-founder of the Neurogenetics Program at Tufts Children’s Hospital.
Dr. Tarui is a member of several professional organizations including the American Academy of Pediatrics, the American Academy of Neurology, the Child Neurology Society, the International Society for Prenatal Diagnosis, and the Perinatal Research Society.
