Selection is based upon your needs and preferences. Search results will first present, in alphabetical order, physicians employed or contracted with Brown University Health or its affiliates, followed by an alphabetical listing of physicians who are in Brown University Health’s network of affiliated providers. At the end of that initial list, you can access an alphabetical listing of community physicians with privileges at Brown University Health hospitals. All physicians in Find a Doctor have the opportunity to have a picture or video posted on the site. Neither the order of physicians, nor the presence or absence of a photo or video, in Find a Doctor is intended to reflect any preference, priority, or recommendation by Brown University Health. Find a Doctor search results are also not based on the volume or value of referrals to Brown University Health or its affiliates from any listed physician. Users are free to select their physician of choice from among all Brown University Health-affiliated medical staff physicians.

Saud Alhusaini, MD
Neurologist
Saud Alhusaini, MB BCh, MSc, PhD, is a neurologist in the Movement Disorders Program at Rhode Island Hospital.
He earned his medical degree and a master of science (neuroscience) degree at Trinity College, University of Dublin, Ireland, and a PhD in neuroimaging/neurogenetics at the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland (RCSI).
Dr. Alhusaini served his internal medicine internship at McGill University Health Center and his adult neurology residency at Montreal Neurological Institute and Hospital, both affiliated with McGill University in Montreal, Canada. He completed a clinical and research fellowship in movement disorders at Yale-New Haven Hospital/Yale University School of Medicine in New Haven, Connecticut, and a clinical fellowship in adult neuro-oncology at Stanford University Hospital, Palo Alto, California.
Honored with the 2018 Andre Barbeau Memorial Prize for Basic Neuroscience Research from the Canadian Neurological Society, Dr. Alhusaini has contributed numerous peer-reviewed research articles to the scientific literature and has presented internationally. His research interests focus on the genetic underpinning of brain structure changes related to epilepsy, Parkinson's disease, and other neuro-degenerative conditions. More recently, he developed an interest in the interface between movement disorders and oncology.
Dr. Alhusaini is a member of the American Academy of Neurology, the Canadian Neurological Society, the International Parkinson and Movement Disorder Society, and the Society for Neuro-Oncology.
