Sasmit Sarangi, MD

Neuro-Oncologist

Sasmit Sarangi, MBBS is a neuro-oncologist with the Brown University Health Cancer Institute, an attending neurologist at Rhode Island Hospital and an assistant professor of neurology at The Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University. Dr. Sarangi earned his medical degree at All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi, India. He completed his internship at the University of Kentucky, Lexington, and his residency in neurology at the Alpert Medical School and Rhode Island Hospital. Most recently, Dr. Sarangi completed his fellowship in neuro-oncology at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Harvard Medical School, Boston. 

Dr. Sarangi’s primary interests are focused on treating patients with primary and metastatic tumors of the central nervous system as well as neurological complications associated with cancer and cancer therapies. He has a special interest in research to improve current clinical care for patients with brain tumors.
