Selection is based upon your needs and preferences. Search results will first present, in alphabetical order, physicians employed or contracted with Brown University Health or its affiliates, followed by an alphabetical listing of physicians who are in Brown University Health’s network of affiliated providers. At the end of that initial list, you can access an alphabetical listing of community physicians with privileges at Brown University Health hospitals. All physicians in Find a Doctor have the opportunity to have a picture or video posted on the site. Neither the order of physicians, nor the presence or absence of a photo or video, in Find a Doctor is intended to reflect any preference, priority, or recommendation by Brown University Health. Find a Doctor search results are also not based on the volume or value of referrals to Brown University Health or its affiliates from any listed physician. Users are free to select their physician of choice from among all Brown University Health-affiliated medical staff physicians.

Sara R. Ford, MD
Division Director, Pediatric Cardiology
Sara R. Ford, MD, is director of the pediatric cardiology division at Hasbro Children’s. Dr. Ford received her medical degree from Albany Medical College in 1997. She then spent seven years at the University of Virginia, where she completed a residency in general pediatrics and a four-year fellowship in pediatric cardiology.
She joined the pediatric cardiology division at Hasbro Children’s in 2004 and is an associate professor of pediatrics (clinical) at The Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University. She is board certified in pediatrics and pediatric cardiology.
Ford's interests include all aspects of pediatric cardiology, with special emphasis on noninvasive imaging, fetal echocardiography, and disorders of lipid metabolism. Her interests include vascular reactivity and models of protection from cardiac ischemia-reperfusion injury.
