Selection is based upon your needs and preferences. Search results will first present, in alphabetical order, physicians employed or contracted with Brown University Health or its affiliates, followed by an alphabetical listing of physicians who are in Brown University Health’s network of affiliated providers. At the end of that initial list, you can access an alphabetical listing of community physicians with privileges at Brown University Health hospitals. All physicians in Find a Doctor have the opportunity to have a picture or video posted on the site. Neither the order of physicians, nor the presence or absence of a photo or video, in Find a Doctor is intended to reflect any preference, priority, or recommendation by Brown University Health. Find a Doctor search results are also not based on the volume or value of referrals to Brown University Health or its affiliates from any listed physician. Meredith C. Wasserman, MD
Urologist
Meredith Wasserman MD, MS, is a urologist at the Minimally Invasive Urology Institute at The Miriam Hospital. She holds joint appointments as assistant professor of surgery (urology) and assistant professor of obstetrics and gynecology at Brown University.
Her areas of clinical expertise include treatment of complex pelvic floor disorders, such as urinary incontinence, overactive bladder, pelvic organ prolapse, and female sexual dysfunction, as well as neurogenic bladder, complex voiding dysfunction, and functional urology in both men and women. She employs robotic, laparoscopic, vaginal and endourologic techniques in the management of these conditions.
Dr. Wasserman grew up in Providence, Rhode Island. She earned a bachelor’s degree in human physiology at Boston University followed by a master’s degree in physiology and biophysics at Georgetown University. She earned her medical degree from The Warren Alpert Medical School at Brown University and remained at Brown to complete a residency in urology. Following residency, Dr. Wasserman received fellowship training in urogynecology and reconstructive pelvic surgery and neurourology at New York University’s Department of Urology at Langone Health.
Dr. Wasserman is a member of the American Urological Association, the Society of Urodynamics, Female Pelvic Medicine and Urogenital Reconstruction, the Society of Women in Urology and the International Society for the Study of Women’s Sexual Health. Dr. Wasserman is the Rhode Island State Representative for the New England Section of the American Urologic Association.
