“Find a Doctor” is operated by Brown University Health and includes all physicians who are on the medical staffs of Brown University Health-affiliated hospitals, without any charge to them. Selection is based upon your needs and preferences. Search results will first present, in alphabetical order, physicians employed or contracted with Brown University Health or its affiliates, followed by an alphabetical listing of physicians who are in Brown University Health’s network of affiliated providers. At the end of that initial list, you can access an alphabetical listing of community physicians with privileges at Brown University Health hospitals. All physicians in Find a Doctor have the opportunity to have a picture or video posted on the site. Neither the order of physicians, nor the presence or absence of a photo or video, in Find a Doctor is intended to reflect any preference, priority, or recommendation by Brown University Health. Find a Doctor search results are also not based on the volume or value of referrals to Brown University Health or its affiliates from any listed physician. Users are free to select their physician of choice from among all Brown University Health-affiliated medical staff physicians.

Marina Elyse Zambrotta, MD, MEd
Hospitalist
Marina Zambrotta, MD, MEd, is a board-certified hospitalist at Newport Hospital.
Before joining Brown University Health, Dr. Zambrotta worked as a physician with the Navajo Nation Indian Health Service at Northern Navajo Medical Center in Shiprock, New Mexico. She was also an affiliate physician at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, as well as an instructor in internal medicine at Harvard Medical School.
Dr. Zambrotta was born and raised in Newport, RI. She earned her medical degree from Sidney Kimmel Medical College at Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia. Dr. Zambrotta completed an internship and residency in internal medicine at Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston. She went on to complete a fellowship in medical education at the Harvard Graduate School of Education in Boston, earning a master's degree in education.
Her medical education interests are focused on improving interprofessional collaboration and communication among hospital providers, especially between nurses and physicians, through an innovation called nurse-doctor co-teaching.
