Keryann Estrela, DNP, is a primary care nurse practitioner at Metacom Primary Care, a Brown Health Medical Group Primary Care Practice. Her nursing career has included 17 years with the medical surgical telemetry unit at Rhode Island Hospital and previous positions with Rhode Island-based Nurse Practitioner Group, Inc. and the East Bay Surgery Center, where she worked with patients in preadmission and recovery. Dr. Estrela was a visiting nurse with Overlook Healthcare in Massachusetts, and more recently has been with the medical surgery telemetry unit at Rhode Island Hospital.
She earned a doctor of nursing practice degree from the University of Massachusetts-Dartmouth and a bachelor’s degree in nursing from Salve Regina University.
Dr. Estrela is a member of the American Nurses Association, Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing, and the American Academy of Addiction Psychiatry. She is fluent in Portuguese.
