Selection is based upon your needs and preferences. Search results will first present, in alphabetical order, physicians employed or contracted with Brown University Health or its affiliates, followed by an alphabetical listing of physicians who are in Brown University Health’s network of affiliated providers. At the end of that initial list, you can access an alphabetical listing of community physicians with privileges at Brown University Health hospitals. All physicians in Find a Doctor have the opportunity to have a picture or video posted on the site. Neither the order of physicians, nor the presence or absence of a photo or video, in Find a Doctor is intended to reflect any preference, priority, or recommendation by Brown University Health. Find a Doctor search results are also not based on the volume or value of referrals to Brown University Health or its affiliates from any listed physician. Users are free to select their physician of choice from among all Brown University Health-affiliated medical staff physicians.

Kayla Behbahani is a board-certified psychiatrist in the Adult Partial Hospitalization Program at Rhode Island Hospital.
Before joining Rhode Island Hospital, Dr. Behbahani worked as the associate medical director of Dartmouth Health Behavioral Health Solution in New Hampshire. She has previously worked as a consultation-liaison psychiatrist and a geriatric psychiatrist and has collaborated on medical publications in academic journals.
Dr. Behbahani earned her a degree in osteopathic medicine from the Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences in Missouri. She completed a fellowship in consultation-liaison psychiatry with Harvard Medical School at Brigham and Women’s Hospital and a residency in general adult psychiatry at the University of Massachusetts Medical School.
