Selection is based upon your needs and preferences. Search results will first present, in alphabetical order, physicians employed or contracted with Brown University Health or its affiliates, followed by an alphabetical listing of physicians who are in Brown University Health’s network of affiliated providers. At the end of that initial list, you can access an alphabetical listing of community physicians with privileges at Brown University Health hospitals. All physicians in Find a Doctor have the opportunity to have a picture or video posted on the site. Neither the order of physicians, nor the presence or absence of a photo or video, in Find a Doctor is intended to reflect any preference, priority, or recommendation by Brown University Health. Find a Doctor search results are also not based on the volume or value of referrals to Brown University Health or its affiliates from any listed physician. Users are free to select their physician of choice from among all Brown University Health-affiliated medical staff physicians.

Christa J. Belgrave, MD, MPH
Psychiatrist
Christa J. Belgrave, MD, MPH, is a psychiatrist with the Young Adult Outpatient Psychiatry Program at Brown University Health and works with patients at Bradley Hospital.
Dr. Belgrave earned a medical degree at New York Medical College. She completed her residency in adult psychiatry and fellowship in child and adolescent psychiatry, both at The Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University. She was named chief fellow during her fellowship. Her leadership abilities and dedication to clinical work have been recognized with awards including the Gold Humanism Honors Society, New York Medical College’s Excellence in Leadership and Community Service Award, and as an American Psychiatric Association’s Fellow in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.
Prior to pursuing a medical education, Dr. Belgrave obtained a master of public health degree, with a concentration in community and international health at New York University.
She is a member of several professional organizations including the American Psychiatric Association, Rhode Island Psychiatric Society and the Rhode Island Council on Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.
