Braidy Shambaugh, DO is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon at the Brown University Health Orthopedics Institute at Rhode Island and The Miriam hospitals. She is fellowship-trained in sports medicine and specializes in treating conditions of the shoulder, hip, and knee joints, as well as arthroscopy.

Dr. Shambaugh earned her medical degree from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey School of Osteopathic Medicine. She completed her orthopedic surgery residency at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed her fellowship in sports medicine at New England Baptist Hospital.

While completing her fellowship in sports medicine, Dr. Shambaugh served as an assistant team physician for the Boston Celtics and the Harvard Crimson. She is currently a team physician for Providence College, Brown University, and Ballet RI.
