Search results will first present, in alphabetical order, physicians employed or contracted with Brown University Health or its affiliates, followed by an alphabetical listing of physicians who are in Brown University Health’s network of affiliated providers. At the end of that initial list, you can access an alphabetical listing of community physicians with privileges at Brown University Health hospitals. All physicians in Find a Doctor have the opportunity to have a picture or video posted on the site. Neither the order of physicians, nor the presence or absence of a photo or video, in Find a Doctor is intended to reflect any preference, priority, or recommendation by Brown University Health. Find a Doctor search results are also not based on the volume or value of referrals to Brown University Health or its affiliates from any listed physician. Braidy Shambaugh, DO
Orthopedic Surgeon
Braidy Shambaugh, DO is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon at the Brown University Health Orthopedics Institute at Rhode Island and The Miriam hospitals. She is fellowship-trained in sports medicine and specializes in treating conditions of the shoulder, hip, and knee joints, as well as arthroscopy.
Dr. Shambaugh earned her medical degree from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey School of Osteopathic Medicine. She completed her orthopedic surgery residency at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed her fellowship in sports medicine at New England Baptist Hospital.
While completing her fellowship in sports medicine, Dr. Shambaugh served as an assistant team physician for the Boston Celtics and the Harvard Crimson. She is currently a team physician for Providence College, Brown University, and Ballet RI.
