At the end of that initial list, you can access an alphabetical listing of community physicians with privileges at Brown University Health hospitals. All physicians in Find a Doctor have the opportunity to have a picture or video posted on the site. Neither the order of physicians, nor the presence or absence of a photo or video, in Find a Doctor is intended to reflect any preference, priority, or recommendation by Brown University Health. Find a Doctor search results are also not based on the volume or value of referrals to Brown University Health or its affiliates from any listed physician. Users are free to select their physician of choice from among all Brown University Health-affiliated medical staff physicians.

Benedito A Carneiro, MD, is a medical oncologist with research interests in developmental therapeutics, solid organ malignancies and genitourinary cancers. As director of Cancer Drug Development for the Brown University Health Cancer Institute of Rhode Island Hospital, The Miriam Hospital and Newport Hospital, and associate director of the Division of Hematology/Oncology, Dr. Carneiro leads clinical trials with novel treatments for cancers of the kidney, bladder, prostate, lung, pancreas, colon and other solid tumors. His research explores innovative immunotherapy and genomic-driven treatment strategies.
His work has been published in several peer-reviewed articles and book chapters. He is a member of many professional societies and scientific committees, including the American Society of Clinical Oncology, American Association of Cancer Research. Dr. Carneiro speaks English and Portuguese.
