Julie Boehm, MD, is a board-certified ophthalmologist with the Brown Health Medical Group.

Before joining the Brown Health Medical Group, Dr. Boehm worked as a staff ophthalmologist with the Kaiser Permanente Medical Group in California, as an assistant professor of ophthalmology at The University of Virginia, and as a staff ophthalmologist and clinical instructor at the New Orleans Veterans Affairs Medical Center. During her career, she has trained ophthalmology residents from The University of Virginia, Tulane University and Louisiana State University.

She graduated from Wellesley College with a bachelor’s degree in neuroscience and then earned a master’s degree in physiology and biophysics from Georgetown University. She earned her medical degree from Tulane University and then completed her ophthalmology residency at Ochsner LSU Health in New Orleans.

Dr. Boehm has presented at numerous conferences. She is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery.
