Selection is based upon your needs and preferences. Search results will first present, in alphabetical order, physicians employed or contracted with Brown University Health or its affiliates, followed by an alphabetical listing of physicians who are in Brown University Health’s network of affiliated providers. At the end of that initial list, you can access an alphabetical listing of community physicians with privileges at Brown University Health hospitals. All physicians in Find a Doctor have the opportunity to have a picture or video posted on the site. Neither the order of physicians, nor the presence or absence of a photo or video, in Find a Doctor is intended to reflect any preference, priority, or recommendation by Brown University Health. Find a Doctor search results are also not based on the volume or value of referrals to Brown University Health or its affiliates from any listed physician. Users are free to select their physician of choice from among all Brown University Health-affiliated medical staff physicians.

Holly R. Torres, OD
Optometrist
Holly Torres, OD, is an optometrist with Brown University Health Ophthalmology.
She earned a doctorate degree in optometry from the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences in Worcester, Massachusetts. Dr. Torres has completed several internships including the Providence Veterans Medical Center, InSight in Warwick, Rhode Island, Providence Community Health Center, and BostonSight in Needham, Massachusetts.
During her time with these organizations Dr. Torres gained experience with children of varying ages and special needs, diagnosed and managed ocular conditions such as diabetic eye disease, glaucoma, dry eye, and macular degeneration.
Following her internships, she received the Good-Lite Pediatric Excellence award along with the Award of Excellence in Contact Lens Patient Care from the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences for her practiced expertise in both subjects.
While studying for her degree, Dr. Torres worked at the Seven Hills Foundation working with children of varying special needs. Additionally, Dr. Torres has volunteered at the Muscular Dystrophy Association camp where she assisted campers with forms of Muscular Dystrophy with camp activities and activities of daily living. This experience now lends itself to her optometric approach with children.
