Sarah Nekrasz MSN, RN, BC, FPCC, is chief nursing officer at Newport Hospital.

Nekrasz has dedicated more than 26 years to Newport Hospital, serving in several nursing leadership roles such as director of the Center of Professional Practice and Innovation, Magnet Program coordinator and director of medical surgical, critical care and rehabilitation nursing.

Nekrasz obtained a master's of science degree in nursing leadership from Walden University and is a graduate of Salve Regina University and the Community College of Rhode Island. She also holds a certification in Medical Surgical Nursing, and is a member of the Rhode Island State Nurses Association (RISNA), American Nurses Association (ANA) and the American Organization of Nurse Leaders (AONL). 

She was awarded the Newport Hospital Excellence in Nursing Leadership award in 2019 and was named a fellow in Person-Centered Care by Planetree in September 2024.
